• A single-parent family becomes obliged to live on benefits.
  
• They can't use public transport because of their difficulties.
  
• They become prisoners of the house - dependent on others for child-minding or transport. 
  
• The never-ending demands of care prevent this parent or the children enjoying a life outside the home.  
  
• They face this situation for years to come.
  
• Their furnishings are worn out, the decorations in their home are grim, and they can’t escape these conditions even for a few days.

Just a week away from this environment can
make a huge difference for those in this and
many other situations. 

We have received more than 160 grant requests
in the two years to July 2007 and helped many
people who live in this and other quite devastating circumstances.

Our Trustees normally meet on the third Monday of each month so you can be sure of a fast response.
